Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth of ten Gurus who founded the Sikh religion and was the Sikh leader from 1665 until his beheading in 1675.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Beheaded on 11 November
On November 11, 1675, he, too, was beheaded under a banyan tree in front of a large wailing crowd. As per chronicles, a huge storm was witnessed that day. Gurudwara Sis Ganj was built here.
Head and the Body Cremated Sepearately
The head was taken away to Anandpur in Punjab where it was cremated. The body was cremated in a house where both were set on fire near Raisina Hills in Delhi.
