CM Bhagwant Mann reached the public court, took many important decisions in Chandigarh

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on Monday 16 May, met with the people in the Janata Darbar, in which hundreds of people came to meet. Many people got jobs on the spot and the problems of many were solved at the same time. 

He also launched his government's first new program 'Lok Milani' for on-the-spot redressal of public grievances. Inaugurating the program at Punjab Bhawan, the Chief Minister said, "It is a humble effort of my government to ensure that we can facilitate the people to resolve their long pending administrative issues."

Objective of Lok Milani

The Chief Minister said that the objective of this program is to redress the grievances of the people immediately. High officials of his government are with him during this 'Lok Milani' so that the matters raised by the people are settled on the spot. The objective of this initiative is to ensure that people do not have to worry about getting their work done. 

During this 'Lok Milani' at Punjab Bhawan, 61 complainants placed their grievances before the Chief Minister. Most of the complaints were related to property disputes, possession of property, and police excesses. Some people also complained about not getting jobs. The Chief Minister has directed the high officials of different departments present on the occasion to ensure that these complaints should be disposed of immediately in a timely and result-oriented manner.

Instructions to release pending dues of Shagun Scheme immediately

The Chief Minister asked the Social Justice and Empowerment Department to immediately release the pending dues of 'Shagun Scheme' to the eligible beneficiaries. On another complaint, Bhagwant Mann asked the Water Resources Department to ensure that drinking water is supplied to every beneficiary without any bias.

On the complaint of Dr. Seema Rani, whose husband had died during the COVID-19 pandemic about two years ago, the Chief Minister asked the officials to ensure that jobs are provided at the earliest as per the policy of the Government.
