On August 26, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad had resigned from all party posts. Azad, who has been a victim of neglect in the party for a long time, sent his resignation to Sonia Gandhi. In his five-page resignation letter, Azad has raised questions on the major changes in the organization and the working style of Rahul Gandhi.
It is believed that Sonia Gandhi wants Rajasthan CM Gehlot to take over the responsibility of this post. However, the name of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is also appearing in this race. But he had refused to hold the post on several occasions. Rahul Gandhi is also not showing interest in becoming the president. But the Congress President is not an easy task to revive the country's oldest party in front of him. Because the organization of the party has become weak in many states including UP.
