Coronavirus India Update: New Covid-19 variant Omicron creates havoc, PM Modi conducts meeting regarding the same

Coronavirus India Update:

The new variant of Coronavirus, the B.1.1.529 Sars Cov-2 variant, also known as Omicron, has created panic all over. After the knock of this new variant, many countries of the world have become cautious about it and are thinking of taking precautionary measures. Meanwhile, in view of Omicron's call, many important steps can be taken from India's side. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a meeting with top officials today regarding this new variant and the current situation regarding the Coronavirus pandemic in the country and the status of vaccination. PM Modi will discuss this new variant with top officials and can also announce to take some precautionary steps in this meeting.

State governments on alert:

During this meeting, PM Modi will also take stock of the ongoing preparations against the coronavirus in the country and the pace of vaccination. At present, cases of coronavirus have increased very rapidly in many states of the country and even today an increase in the number of deaths due to coronavirus has been registered. The state governments from different parts of the country have been warned against the new Omicron variant of Covid-19 virus.

International flights from South Africa to be banned?

An alert has been issued in different parts of the country considering the new variant of Covid-19 virus Omicron, and a decision regarding a ban on flights coming from South Africa and other nations affected by this new variant, or a 14 days quarantine plan can also be taken.

Today's meeting of PM Modi with the officials is considered very important. During this meeting, PM Modi will also discuss the other situation arising out of the Covid-19 virus. In view of the increasing cases of the Covid-19 virus in the country, it is being feared that there is a need to be cautious about the increase in the cases of the coronavirus. PM Modi can give many instructions to the officers in this meeting.
