Coronavirus India Update: Threat of Covid-19 rises in India, more than 17000 cases registered, alert in Delhi and Maharashtra-Watch Video

According to the Union health ministry's dashboard on Friday, India registered 17,070 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, a decrease of 9.3 percent or 1,749 cases from the previous day. The bulletin also revealed that 23 additional associated fatalities occurred throughout the nation, bringing the total number of fatalities to 525,139 and the number of cases to 43,469,234.

Recovery Rate

The information also revealed that the overall number of patients who are actively seeking treatment increased by 2,634 to 107,189 after surpassing the 100,000 mark on Thursday. In the meantime, 14,413 persons recovered from this viral illness, bringing the total number of recoveries to 42,836,906.

Active Cases and Deaths 

About 98.55 percent, 1.21 percent, and 0.24 percent of cases involve recoveries, deaths, and active patients, respectively.

The most recent positive infections, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research, were from 502, 150 of the samples it analysed on Thursday, meaning that the daily positivity rate was 3.40 percent. Additionally, approximately 862 million samples have already been evaluated in total.
