Six new cases of coronavirus have been found in the Kanpur district, in which a ten-year-old child of Kidwai Nagar is also infected by the virus. Apart from this, infection has also been confirmed in three students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). However, after the completion of home isolation of nine infected, they were declared healthy. The number of active cases in the district has gone up to 42.
Dr. Gaurav Tripathi, the nodal officer of the Rapid Response Team, said that six infected have been found. In this, three from IIT, a 10-year-old child from Kidwai Nagar and two more have been found infected. Sampling and contact tracing of the people who came in contact with them will be done on Wednesday.

Biological E has submitted an application to India's drug regulator seeking emergency use authorisation for its Covid vaccine Corbevax as a booster dose in adults fully vaccinated with Covishield or Covaxin, sources said on Wednesday.
The Drugs Controller General Of India (DCGI) had already approved Corbevax, India's first indigenously developed RBD protein subunit vaccine, for restricted use in emergency situations for those aged five and above.
