Covid 4th Wave: Corona cases increased again in India, 11 people died

A slight increase has been registered in new cases of coronavirus in India. According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, 2858 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in India during the last 24 hours. During this, 3355 people have defeated the infection and 11 have died. The number of active cases of corona infection in the country is 18,096. Earlier on Friday, 2841 new cases were registered and 9 deaths occurred.

Total number of Covid Cases

The number of active cases in the country has gone up to 18,096. The total number of corona cases in the country has exceeded 4.31 crore. At the same time, the total number of people who died in the country of Covid-19 is 5 lakh 24 thousand 201. The total recovery from Corona in the country is 4,25,76,815.

Coronavirus cases are increasing continuously in Delhi too. Delhi recorded 899 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths on Friday (May 13), the highest daily figure in two months. Delhi had last recorded four deaths on March 4. The city's positivity rate rose to 3.34 per cent.

Covid vaccines doses

More than 1,91,15,90,370 doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign. Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of coronavirus infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November.

The daily positivity rate in the country is 0.59 percent. In the last 24 hours, 15 lakh 04 thousand 734 people have been given corona vaccine. On 19 December 2020, these cases had exceeded one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it crossed 30 million. On January 26 this year, the cases had crossed four crores.
