The speed of Corona in many parts of the country is once again intimidating. The uncontrollable corona, especially in Delhi and Maharashtra, has created a threat of a new wave. In the capital Delhi, the number of patients in Corona hospitals has reached 100 percent in the last 14 days.
If we leave out the corona cases of Tuesday, more than 2 thousand new cases have been reported daily in Delhi for the last two weeks, whereas, the death toll is on an average 8 to 10. At the same time, in Maharashtra, there has been a double jump in corona cases in 24 hours. The death figures are also frightening.
The positivity rate in Delhi increased from 3.23 per cent on August 01 to 6.23 per cent on August 17. Today on August 18, the positivity rate in Delhi has been recorded at 19.20 percent. Corona active cases have increased from 4,274 on August 01 to 6,809 on August 17. However, the positivity rate saw a steep decline of 9.92 per cent on Wednesday.
Dr Suresh Kumar, Medical Director, LNJP Hospital said, “There has been an increase in hospitalizations in LNJP in the last 10 days. Research from LNJP Hospital shows that the new variant is the cause of the spread of the virus. Hence most of the patients are getting infected. This is also happening because people have not taken another dose or booster shot.
After the increasing cases of Corona, DGCA has issued guidelines for passengers.Now it will be mandatory for the passengers to follow the corona rules.Also, it will be necessary to wear a mask on the plane.
The Maharashtra Health Department said that 1,800 new coronavirus cases were registered in the state on Wednesday.More than half of which came from Mumbai and a sharp jump from 836 a day earlier.While six more patients succumbed to the infection.
