Hardik Pandya Sets New Indian Record After Successful Start To Captaincy
In the opening T20I of the 2-match series in Dublin, which was hampered by rain, all-rounder Hardik Pandya guided India to a comfortable 7-wicket victory over Ireland. India defeated Ireland 1-0 by reaching the finish line in just 9.2 overs while chasing a challenging 109 in a 12-overs-per-side match.
Hardik led from the front and performed admirably with both the bat and the ball to get India's T20I team off to the best possible start. India easily defeated Ireland on Sunday in Malahide thanks in large part to Hardik, who took a wicket and scored 24 runs in 12 balls.
Anil Khanna named as the acting President of IOA
The Indian Olympic Association's interim president is Anil Khanna (IOA). Anil Khanna has been named as the IOA's acting president after the Delhi High Court ruled that Narinder Dhruv Batra cannot continue in his position as president. A month after being asked to resign as president of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), veteran sports executive Narinder Batra was given an injunction by the Delhi High Court to halt acting in that capacity "in a contempt case." Aslam Sher Khan, an Olympian and World Cup champion in hockey, filed a contempt petition, and Justice Dinesh Sharma's vacation bench issued the ruling.
Suraksha-Mitra Project launched in Kerala
Suraksha-Mitra Project is a vehicle monitoring system. It sends messages in case of any mishap. The Motor Vehicles Department has started this project under the Nirbhaya scheme. The system will send a distress message to the mobile phones of the owners in case of any untoward incident during the journey. A Vehicle Location Tracking Device (VLTD) will be fitted with the vehicles. If the vehicle is involved in an accident or if the driver over-speeds the vehicle, the owners will receive an SMS alert from VLTD. Alerts will be sent instantly through SMS and E-mail to the relevant number and email ID provided by the owners during the installation of the device. Thus, the owner will be able to ensure the safe movement of the vehicle keeping in mind the authenticity of the message.
