“Jagananna Amma Vodi” 2022-23 Launched in Andhra Pradesh
On June 27, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made the yearly cash contribution under the "Jagananna Amma Vodi" scheme. The primary characteristics include the direct deposit of 6,595 crore into the bank accounts of 43,96,402 mothers. Each mother will receive Rs. 13,000 after a deduction of Rs. 2,000. It is required to be enrolled in intercollegiate programmes to be eligible for the program's benefits.
IRS officer Nitin Gupta appointed new CBDT chairman
Nitin Gupta, an Indian Revenue Services official from the 1986 batch, has been chosen to lead the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), the organisation in charge of running the Income Tax division. Gupta, who belongs to the Income Tax cadre, will retire in September 2023 from his position as member (investigation) of the CBDT.
NSIC Director (Planning & Marketing) P Udayakumar gets another tenure extension
P Udayakumar's present position at the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) as Director (Planning & Marketing) has been extended once again through August 31, 2022. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal to extend Udayakumar's tenure as Director (Planning & Marketing) of NSIC with effect from November 8, 2021, to July 31, 2022, which is the date of his superannuation or until further orders, according to a directive from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). His services had previously been extended for a further five years, till November 8, 2021. Since November 2010, he has held the position of Director (Planning & Marketing) at NSIC.
