Vinay Kumar Saxena appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi
President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed Vinay Kumar Saxena as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. Saxena will replace Anil Baijal. At present, Saxena is posted as the chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC). Born on 23 March 1958, Vinay Kumar Saxena has been a student of Kanpur University. He has worked in the corporate as well as in the NGO sector. Joined JK Group in Rajasthan in 1984 and worked for 11 years.

Captain Abhilasha Barak becomes country's first woman combat aviator
Captain Abhilasha Barak on Wednesday became the first woman fighter pilot of the Army, three years after India decided to induct women as officers in the defense services. With his joining the Aviation Corps of the Army, today was a historic day for the army. Prior to joining the Army Aviation Corps, Abhilasha was engaged in completing courses at the Combat Army Aviation Training School in Nashik. After completing a one-year training course, she was inducted into the army as a female fighter pilot.
