CV Ananda Bose to take oath as Governor of West Bengal 

On November 23, Dr. CV Ananda Bose will take the oath of office as the next Governor of West Bengal in Kolkata. President Murmu appointed the former bureaucrat as West Bengal Governor on November. The position of Governor of West Bengal became vacant after the previous governor, Jagdeep Dhankhar, was elected Vice President of India on August 11. Later, Manipur Governor La. Ganesan was appointed as the interim Governor of West Bengal.

Lance Naik Manju becomes Indian Army's first female skydiver

The Indian Army made history again on Friday when one of its soldiers became the first female soldier skydiver. Lance Naik Manju accomplished the feat by jumping from a height of 10,000 feet at a drop zone near Assam's Missamari on Tuesday. Manju enlisted in the Indian Army on December 14, 2019. Her fellow soldiers frequently describe her as a "absolute warrior"  

Indians no longer need police clearance for Saudi Arabia visa 

Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday that it will no longer require Indian nationals to submit a police clearance certificate (PCC) when applying to visit the country. Saudi Arabia is home to over two million Indian citizens. The Saudi embassy issued a statement emphasising the "strong relations and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of India," announcing the removal of the previously required visa.
