Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn, a shuttler, defeated Denmark's Viktor Axelsen in the men's singles match with scores of 22-20, 10-21, and 21-12 to claim the 2023 India Open Badminton Championship. An Seyoung of South Korea won the title in the Women's Singles division by defeating Akane Yamaguchi of Japan by scores of 15-21, 21-16, and 21-12.
An IIT Madras-incubated company has created an indigenous mobile operating system dubbed BharOS that can be installed on readily available commercial handsets. On January 24, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw successfully tested the BharOS.
At an event in New Delhi on Monday, President Droupadi Murmu awarded 11 kids the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP), 2023.
