Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday took a jibe at Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, saying that the LG of Delhi scolds him daily as much as his wife does not. In Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party government of the state and Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena remain at loggerheads on all issues.
Chief Minister Kejriwal tweeted and said, 'LG Sahib scolds me as much as my wife does not scold me every day. In the last six months, my wife has not written me as many love letters as LG Sahib has written to me. LG sahib, chill a little and tell your super boss also, chill a little.'
Significantly, in a letter to CM Kejriwal, the LG underlined the "utter disregard" by the Delhi government for being absent from Raj Ghat and Vijay Ghat on Sunday on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. He wrote in the letter, 'With deep pain, regret and disappointment, I draw your attention to the gross neglect displayed by you and the government under your leadership towards the commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti and Bharat Ratna, the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri ji.'
