A fire broke out in Delhi's Gandhi Nagar market at 5:36 pm on the occasion of Dussehra. As soon as the information was received, 28 fire tenders reached the spot. For now, the fire has been brought under control. However, goods worth lakhs from many shops were destroyed by the fire. At the same time, one person died in this accident. The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Shahnawaz.

Fire tenders could not reach the spot on time

On receiving the information, the fire brigade and police teams reached the spot. Fire tenders could not reach the spot due to the narrow lane. After a lot of effort, relief work could reach here. The shop was built on the ground floor and the warehouse on the upper floor. When the fire department came to know that the fire had spread to the entire shop, about 150 personnel were engaged in relief work. Significantly, during this time there was less movement of customers in the market, as shops were closed due to Dussehra.
