Ghulam Nabi Azad has announced his new party. The name of his new party is Democratic Azad Party. After announcing the name of the party, Azad also waved the party flag in front of the journalists. Let us inform you that Ghulam Nabi Azad, 73, had resigned from the primary membership of the Congress party on 26 August. Along with resigning, Azad had also attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi fiercely.

Ghulam Nabi Azad comments on the new party formation

Announcing his party, Ghulam Nabi Azad said that 'the name of our party is 'Democratic Azad Party'. Democracy is for the Democratic that will be completely free. Which I mentioned would be my own thinking. Will not be influenced by any party or leader and will remain independent. 

While launching the party's flag, he said that it is also a tricolour. Which has three different colours. He associated the mustard colour with creativity, unity and diversity, while the white colour calmly and the blue colour as a measure of freedom, equality, the depth of the ocean and the height of the sky.

First unit in Kashmir

Before the party launch, Azad had said that in view of the upcoming assembly elections, the first unit of his political party would be formed in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that my party will focus on full statehood, right to land and restoration of employment to the natives. Targeting the Congress, he said that people are trying to defame us (me and my supporters who have left the party), but their reach is limited to computer tweets. Criticising the Congress, Azad said that the Congress is made of our blood, not computers, not Twitter. People are trying to defame us but their reach is limited to computers and tweets. This is the reason why Congress is nowhere.
