Jacqueline Fernandez to be questioned by ED today over Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s case

The Enforcement Directorate will interrogate Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez today in connection with a Rs. 200 crore extortion case involving multimillionaire conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and his wife Leena Maria Paul. Although the actress earlier denied having any involvement in the case, a recent mirror photo of Jacqueline with Sukesh has reignited the controversy. Sources further said that Sukesh gave the actress expensive gifts, including Persian cats and horses worth Rs. 50 lakhs.

Jacqueline Fernandez to appear before ED today

Ms. Fernandez had previously been questioned by the ED in this case along with actress Nora Fatehi. The interrogation will take place Delhi. Reportedly, a lady official along with five others will record her statement. The actress had previously been denied permission to leave the nation at the airport when she wanted to go to Dubai for a play, but she was eventually allowed to depart following a brief interrogation.

Jacqueline to record statement as witness in Rs. 200 crore extortion case

According to India Today, in a recent chargesheet against Sukesh Chandrasekhar, the Enforcement Directorate claimed Jacqueline Fernandez's link with the conman. Meanwhile, the interrogating agency discovered that Sukesh had sent Jacqueline gifts worth Rs. 10 crore and had even booked her a charted flight. Earlier, Jacky’s spokeperson claimed that the actress herself was the victim in the case, and they will fully cooperate with the investigation.

Who is Sukesh Chandrashekhar

Chandrasekhar is a "known conman" who is being investigated by the Delhi Police for alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating, and extortion totaling Rs 200 crore, according to a statement. He's been active in the criminal underworld since he was 17 years old. Mr Chandrashekhar's residence was raided by the ED in August, and a mansion in Chennai, $82.5 lakh in cash, and a fleet of luxury cars were seized.
