Kanpur Raid: 36 hours search, 5 note counting machines led to recovery of 150 crore cash- Watch Video

Kanpur Raid: A perfume trader's house in Kanpur was raided on Thursday, by a joint team of the Income Tax department and the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI). The name of the businessman is Piyush Jain and the raid led to an extensive search of 15 crore rupees. 

It took 36 hours and 5 cash counting machines to count the entire money at his house. During the searches at the residence of the UP businessman, the I-T officials also found several shelves full of notes. The huge amount of cash was wrapped in a piece of paper.

After the culmination of the raid, a container was used to move the recovered cash from Piyush Jain’s residence. 21 boxes of containers full of notes have been taken from the businessman's house at Anandpuri.
