Security personnel are deployed outside the luxury hotel where a group of rebel Shiv Sena MLAs from Maharashtra have been kept here. This has transformed the Radisson Blu Hotel into a fort. The entry of common people in this hotel is almost now banned. The Guwahati Police has taken over the responsibility of security from the personal security guards of the hotel. Besides personnel from the nearby Jalukbari police station, dozens of personnel from the Reserve Battalion and commando units of the Assam Police are keeping a close watch on the hotel. The hotel is located about 15 km from the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport.
