There are two more faces behind this whole rebellion, whose names are Mahesh Shinde and Shambhuraj Desai.Especially Shambhuraj Desai, who is the Minister of State for Home in Uddhav Thackeray's government, is of great stature. In such a situation, his rebellion has also worked to distance some MLAs from Uddhav Thackeray.

Shambhuraj Desai is currently the Minister of State for Home from Satara.Shambhuraj Desai is also very active along with Eknath Shinde in the rebellion. As a result of this, there is talk of Shambhuraj Desai getting the post of cabinet minister in the government formed after the fall of Mahavikas Aghadi government. One of the rebel MLAs says that everything is happening as per the decision of Eknath Shinde.
