Manish Sisodia Early life and Education

In the Uttar Pradesh village of Phagauta, part of the Hapur district, Manish Sisodia was born into a Hindu family. He enrolled in the village's public school as a child because his father taught in public schools. After earning a journalism diploma from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1993, he later started his career as a journalist. In his early career, Manish Sisodia also held a radio jockey position at an FM radio station. Seema Sisodia is the wife of Manish Sisodia.

Manish Sisodia Political Career

Sisodia was one of the Aam Aadmi Party's core founders (AAP). He joined the Political Affairs Committee of the organization. After he defeated Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Nakul Bhardwaj in the Patparganj constituency of East Delhi in the Delhi Assembly election in December 2013, by a margin of 11,476 votes, he was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly.

He was once more elected from Patparganj in the February 2015 Delhi Assembly election, which the AAP won by a landslide margin over Vinod Kumar Binny of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He again defeated BJP candidate Ravinder Singh Negi in the 2020 election for the Delhi Legislative Assembly, this time by more than 3000 votes.
