PFI cadres were protesting against the recent raids by the NIA, ED-CBI and police against their organization on Friday outside the District Collector's office in Pune city of Maharashtra. Police say that taking immediate action on the protest, one accused was arrested. Also, a case has been registered against 60-70 people for demonstrating without permission. Apart from this, the main accused has been identified, whose name has been given as Riyaz Sayyed.
According to the information, the NIA team raided the office of PFI in Pune, Maharashtra. During this, PFI supporters reached the collector's office and started protesting. According to media reports, the police took some people into custody. During this, some workers present there started raising anti-national slogans.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said such slogans would not be tolerated in the state, while Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said those involved in the sloganeering would not be spared. Pune Police has said that they are probing it. The organization had organized a protest outside the district magistrate's office in Pune city on Friday in protest against the nationwide raids on the premises of PFI.
