Section 144 imposed in Kanpur. UP Police on high alert for Zuma prayers after June 3 ruckus

There is a high alert across the state today due to violence and violence after Friday prayers in Kanpur city. The administration is ready for Friday prayers in Kanpur. Section 144 has been imposed in the district today. In many cities including Kanpur, the jawans are keeping a close watch. There will be a ban on taking out processions and gathering crowds. Muslim-dominated areas are being monitored through drone cameras. 

Along with this, an appeal has been made to the local people to maintain peace. Before Friday prayers, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the security arrangements. CM Yogi has ordered elaborate security arrangements in front of all the mosques.

Peace committee meeting in Noida

The police held a meeting with the Peace Committee in Noida regarding the uproar over Namaz in Kanpur, Noida Additional DCP Ranvijay Singh said that the police held a meeting of the Peace Committee before Friday's Juma Namaz. The religious leaders of both the sides were called in the meeting and the peace system was discussed. At the same time, if any incident happens during this time, the police will take strict action against such people.

Extra precautions taken

Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that sensitive areas and places of worship are strategically located. Police have been deployed. To ensure that religious harmony is not disturbed, the police are also contacting the enlightened people of the area.

Prashant Kumar said that the police officers are in touch with the clerics and other leaders of the group to maintain peace and communal harmony. The ADG said that special deployment has been made in sensitive districts including Firozabad, Shamli, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Agra, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Kanpur and Lucknow.
