Most companies have announced the upcoming electric cars in the Indian market. Citroen eC3 is set to be launched in January, followed by Mahindra XUV400 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. MG Motor will reveal its compact Air EV at the Auto Expo. By the end of 2023, Tata Motors may introduce the Punch EV in the market. Among these evs, Citroen ec3 and tata punch ev are the most talked about in the middle-class lifestyle. Let’s take a look at their specifications.
No details are available as yet on what the Citroen eC3 EV will be powered by. Speculation online suggests it will get a battery as large as 50kWh and a range of more than 300km on a full charge. More details are awaited. Likely to be called the EC3, the new EV is expected to be priced in the same league as the recently launched Tata Tiago EV. The new EC3 is scheduled to be launched sometime in early 2023.
Tata will most likely offer it with multiple battery pack options and could get a range of up to 350km. It would carry the features of the ICE Punch which include a seven-inch touchscreen display, semi-digital instrument panel, auto air-conditioning, automatic headlights, connected car technology, and cruise control. The electric Punch could get additional features like multi-mode regenerative braking and leather upholstery. Its safety net could include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera.
Both Citroen ec3 and Tata punch EV prices will likely start from Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
