Toyota has officially introduced the new Innova Hycross in Indonesia, where it will be sold as the Innova Zenix. The same model is expected to be sold in India as the Toyota Innova Hycross and will be introduced on November 25. It will get a host of the latest features along with better looks and design. The 2023 Toyota Innova Zenix (Hycross) is completely revamped and features a new grille with a chrome surround, sweptback LED headlamps, triangular inserts with LED DRLs on either side of the front bumper, a sleek air dam with fog lights on both sides, new 18-inch silver alloy wheels, dual-tone ORVMs, blacked-out B and C-pillars, door visors, wraparound LED tail lights, an integrated spoiler, and a high-mounted stop lamp.
The interior of the Toyota Innova Zenix, aka the Hycross, comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof, a dual-tone brown and black theme, a new 10-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, silver trims on the dashboard, digital controls for the AC, captain seats for the second row, 10-inch screens for the second-row occupants, a new steering wheel, gear lever placed higher in the center console, cruise control, ambient lighting, an electronic parking brake, and a new instrument cluster.
The Indonesian-spec Innova is available as a petrol or a strong hybrid. The former gets a 2-liter four-cylinder engine with around 175bhp of power/200Nm of torque and is paired to a CVT gearbox. The strong hybrid version is the one that we are looking forward to driving soon. The engine in that makes 152bhp and 187Nm of torque and is coupled to an electric motor for a total power output of 186hp.
Toyota will unveil the new-generation Innova Hycross in India on November 25. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 20 lakh.
