Weather Update: Disruption due to rain in Republic Day parade, cloudy in many places

The national capital Delhi (Delhi) is expected to have a cloudy sky and little fog on Republic Day. Up to 200 metres of vision may continue during this time. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the lowest and highest temperatures can be measured at 9 and 19 degrees Celsius, respectively.

There might still be a thin layer of fog in the city on Thursday morning. The sky will be cloudy all day long. According to the IMD visibility in "very dense" fog is between 0 and 50 metres, in "heavy" fog between 51 and 200 metres, and in "moderate" fog between 201 and 500 metres. On Wednesday, Delhi had a minimum temperature of 10.6 degrees Celsius, which was five degrees higher than typical given the continued cloud cover.


According to the department, light precipitation may be observed on January 29 as a result of the latest recent western disturbance. It hasn't rained in Delhi yet this winter season. The Meteorological Department has concluded that the absence of significant western disturbances in November and December is responsible for this.
