The scorching summer heat has caused great difficulty for the people of Delhi NCR and the neighboring regions. It took much time for the monsoon to reach Delhi this year, and now after 13 days, the monsoon is expected to reach Delhi finally, by today.
As per the reports of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), it is the first such instance in the last 15 years that the monsoon will reach Delhi this late. Usually, the monsoon reaches Delhi by 27th June every year.
IMD also stated that the monsoon is likely to reach Delhi, parts of Western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan in the next 24 hours. And with this, these regions are expected to receive light to medium rainfall for the next 5 to 6 days.
It must be noted that the monsoon reached Kerala 10 days ago this year, and after that, its pace slowed down, considering which the people of Delhi NCR were facing the scorching heat.
