Weather Update Today: It is raining in most of the states of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many states on Monday i.e. August 1. IMD has issued heavy rain warning in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir. Today it will be cloudy in the capital Delhi and its surrounding areas, there is a possibility of rain in many areas. In some places, there may be drizzle along with strong wind. According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be rain in the plains of the country for the next 4-5 days. During the next 24 hours, many states including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim are likely to receive rain.

According to Skymet Weather, today i.e. on Monday, light rain in East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and Andaman and the Nicobar Islands. Moderate to heavy rain with isolated heavy falls is possible. Light to moderate rain is possible over Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and the remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, heavy rain alert has been issued for Dehradun, Nainital, Tehri, Pauri, Champawat and Bageshwar of Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy to very heavy rains on August 1.
