After a delay of five days, the Southwest Monsoon finally arrived all across the country. While Delhi is in the category of deficient states, heavy rain warning has also been issued for many areas of the country.
An 'Orange Alert' has been issued for Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir, while a 'Yellow Alert' has been issued for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh with a warning of heavy rain on Tuesday.
At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a fresh estimate regarding Delhi, under which there is a strong possibility of rain in the capital today. While the Skymet Weather has stated that the Southern coast of Gujarat, Karnataka’s Konkan, regions of Goa, and Marathwada may receive a medium to heavy rainfall today.
North-Eastern India, Sikkim, Himalayan region, West Bengal, the coast of Telangana, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Southern Chattisgarh, Odisha, and Western Uttar Pradesh may receive low to heavy rainfall today.
