PM Modi in his tweet wrote, “Excellency @Naftali Bennett, congratulations on becoming the Prime Minister of Israel. As we celebrate 30 years of upgrading diplomatic relations next year, I look forward to meeting you and deepening the strategic partnership between our two countries.”

With the 49-year-old leader of the United Right Party (Israel's right-wing Yamina), Naftali Bennett being sworn in as prime minister of Israel, the 12-year reign of Benjamin Netanyahu has come to an end.
