Up Gram Pradhan Aarakshan List 2021: Reservation list for UP Gram Panchayat Election 2021 for SC, OBC, General and Mahila has been finalised

Up Gram Pradhan Aarakshan List 2021: Since the Reservation plan for Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Elections, 2021 has been released the Reservation list for the Gram Panchayat Pradhan has also been finalised. On Friday, the list for UP Gram Panchayat 2021 Reservation was announced. According to this UP Gram Panchayat Reservation List, the reservation in panchayat will be done as per the rotation system. To this, additional chief secretary, Panchayati Raj Manoj Kumar Singh stated that “out of total gram panchayat seats, 330 will be reserved for STs, 12,405 for SCs and 15,712 for OBCs. This reservation is on the basis of the percentage of their population.”

 

The seat reservation for categories of Scheduled Caste (SCs), Scheduled Tribe (STs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) will not be reserved for the same categories. The seats for the categories will be reserved on the basis of their population. And the tenure of village panchayats terminated on December 25th 2020, and in relation to that, a total of 57,207 leaders will be elected this year. 

Government has also announced two Zila Panchayat seats which were never reserved for SC and OBC until now, while seven were never reserved for women. Manoj Sinh also stated that the District Magistrate will publish the list of seats for all posts on 2nd and 3rd March 2021, while the final list, after rectifying all the objections will be published on 10th and 12th March.

“All the seats of Zila Panchayat chairman, ward members, members of Panchayat, Gram Pradhan and their members have been determined. The reservation status of seats in 2015 will not be repeated”, Singh stated.

Recently, Allahabad High Court asked the state election commission to ensure that the elections are held by April 30 and has rejected the poll panel’s undertaking to hold elections in May 2021. At present, the state has 826 Vikas Khands (Development Blocks) and 58194 Gram Sabhas. There are also 7,31,813 wards in Gram Sabhas, 75,855 wards in kshetra Panchayats and 30,051 wards in 75 Zila Panchayats.
